Dear Muse,

Good morning sadness,

continuously

greeting me with open arms

dear sadness why do I bring you such joy?

It’s like when you’re around I can’t seem to shake the thought of not knowing you.

It’s crazy how your essence brought such beautiful music.

Syncopated harmonies and a unfuckwitable rhyme scheme.

Soft sounds soothing life’s woes.

I’ve been a rebel but your inconsistency made me rowdy.

Your lack of reciprocity gave me the courage profoundly to love myself.

I found at one point pouring so much into you that I lost sight of me.

Falling deep into an abyss of sheer bliss.

Not knowing the pain that came with it.

Seldom reliance is not Value it’s convenience. For your convenience I’m not convenient. Chasing 711 and Duane Reades you won’t find accessibility in me. I can’t accommodate you or your needs.

Burnt offerings organized to make me empathetic but you’ve bought me trauma that now I have to live with. Silent Killer. If you’re triggered by my words. Know, I meant it.

it’s been a few years and I still drift from time to time

recently I stumbled upon an old phone

after a few guesses I cracked the passcode

a series of encrypted numbers and letters that reminded me of you

A sudden glimpse of the past sent me on a trance parading through our old text messages

scary

scary really scary

what In you made me fall the way I did?

that was the main question to present self

what in you made me feel free to love.

Free to be.
