The word relationship can be used to describe many interactions we have with people on a regular day basis; relationships with family, friends, lovers, boyfriends/girlfriends/partners, landlords, bosses, etc. While the word relationship usually is seen face value as having a positive connotation, that is not always the case. There are times we fight, argue, ignore, disdain those who we still see as people we have relationships with in life.

So, when attempting to compile a body of work related to relationships the first thing that comes to mind is physical/sexual relationships and love. Now, being an artist that creates directly from my own emotions and experiences… It has been difficult for me to photograph or write poetry related to positive love… for it is not my reality (at this time).

Where I am in life currently, my environment attracts visuals and written expression of toxic relationships and platonic relationships (both positive and negative). I have decided to share photos of platonic relationships, distant relationships and written pieces describing the conscious battle of wanting more from love.
