I found myself seeking freedom in dark places.

Darkness: the absence of light.

She felt familiar.

I knew her.

She held me, caressed my hair, made me feel safe.

Safe got me there, safe kept there.

Darkness showed me love but Light Let Me Love.

Opened the door back to the love I used to be, the light I used to see.

She let me become the only definition I needed of free.

Deeply loving and living as me.
